Spectators: 6777 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 0) Berwick AFC's Art Pulliam started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 5 minutes, Percy Rollins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saks's supporters crossed their fingers, but Percy Rollins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Berwick AFC's Johnathon Haskins got a free kick in the 6th minute. Berwick AFC's Art Pulliam got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Saks's Bobby Pierce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Art Pulliam in the 17th minute of play. After 17 played minutes Saks got a freekick which was hit by Alonzo Friedman. The supporters of Saks booed when Berwick AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Forrest didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Saks's goal looked a bit too open when Art Pulliam came free, but Bobby Pierce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 30 in the game by Everett Brock from a close distance when the talented Boyd Ludwig managed to make a qualified save. Berwick AFC's players were relieved. The supporters of Saks booed when Berwick AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Junior Patrick didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Percy Rollins came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Saks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Percy Rollins couldn't finish the play. Bobby Pierce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Art Pulliam, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Percy Rollins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boyd Ludwig having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jackson Nelson during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Percy Rollins to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Art Pulliam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bobby Pierce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59thth minute of the game Art Pulliam who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Saks's Bobby Pierce was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Junior Patrick kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Berwick AFC's zone, Everett Brock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boyd Ludwig came out of the goal and Everett Brock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Dante Gill managed to get in a good position for a shot. Berwick AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dante Gill was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bobby Pierce breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th minute, one of Berwick AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Berwick AFC. After a rather tough play, Saks's Alonzo Friedman got a free kick in the 75th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Art Pulliam in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bobby Pierce prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Percy Rollins in the 78th minute of play forced Berwick AFC's goalkeeper Boyd Ludwig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Art Pulliam in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bobby Pierce prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bobby Pierce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Art Pulliam in the 98th minute of the match. Many of Berwick AFC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Berwick AFC may have spent more time on the ball, but Saks were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
