When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hal Velez made a kick off. The long shot by Merrill Holder in the 54th minute really tested Marc Carter's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 58 minutes into the match, Hal Velez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marc Carter, 2-2. Royal winners were furious when Merrill Holder was red carded, 63 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests.
