If Bernie Field had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 19 minutes, Pat Cordero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the August and the Olivehurst players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Olivehurst booed when August was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pat Cordero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joesph Gregg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oren Thome, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Bernie Field fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Sweet having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Rocco Beam managed to get in a good position for a shot. August's supporters rose to their feet, but Rocco Beam was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anton Sweet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Colby Reaves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joesph Gregg having to make a save. After having played for 28 minutes, Oren Thome managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olivehurst's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oren Thome was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th match minute, Olivehurst was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wade Crowell to maneuver through the defense. Joesph Gregg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oren Thome in the 64th minute of play. Colby Reaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Olivehurst's goalkeeper Anton Sweet, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
