Spectators: 6000 (Terracing: 4500, Seating: 1380, VIP seats: 120) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vaughn Roche started the match with the kick off. Hal Velez spun around in front of the goal 8 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Burien's goal. Franklin Ackerman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bryan Harman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. After 11 minutes Royal winners's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was German Norwood who took care of the corner kick. Burien's German Norwood was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bryan Harman in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Hal Velez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Royal winners booed when Burien was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Levi Greenwood didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esteban Landers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Glen Tang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Simon having to interfere. Esteban Landers took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luis Simon. Luis Simon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Burien's Luis Simon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Merlin McGill in the 33rd minute of play. If Glen Tang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Merlin McGill managed to get in a good position for a shot. Royal winners's supporters rose to their feet, but Merlin McGill was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luis Simon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Burien players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Royal winners were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hal Velez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hal Velez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Luis Simon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Merlin McGill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Luis Simon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilton Crowder took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luis Simon. Burien's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Luis Simon was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Glen Tang showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 60 minute of play. Luis Simon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hal Velez went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Royal winners's Esteban Landers got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Royal winners getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Glen Tang hit a great ball. Vaughn Roche struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Bryan Harman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Burien. Luis Simon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteban Landers in the 74th minute of the match. Hal Velez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Luis Simon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Hal Velez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luis Simon. Burien's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hal Velez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hal Velez in the 81st minute of play forced Burien's goalkeeper Luis Simon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hal Velez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Simon having to interfere. If Glen Tang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hal Velez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Merlin McGill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bryan Harman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brett Fry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Glen Tang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Luis Simon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis Simon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hal Velez in the 96th minute. Royal winners's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
