Merlin McGill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Royal winners's Bryan Harman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percy Rollins in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glen Tang in the 7th minute of play forced Saks's goalkeeper Bobby Pierce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bryan Harman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alonzo Friedman in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Saks's goalkeeper Bobby Pierce had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Glen Tang. Glen Tang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bobby Pierce having to interfere. A collision led to Saks getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Kent Santana hit a great ball. Glen Tang kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Wilton Crowder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute, Everett Brock ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bryan Harman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Bobby Pierce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hal Velez in the 30th minute of play. Bobby Pierce made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Merlin McGill sent off a good shot on target. Esteban Landers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bobby Pierce having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, Flint Trujillo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Royal winners the free kick. Flint Trujillo hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The supporters of Royal winners booed when Saks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmitt Guthrie didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Saks were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Hal Velez made the kick off in the second half. Bobby Pierce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteban Landers in the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Glen Tang made a precise shot to the right of Bobby Pierce. Saks's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Esteban Landers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Saks's zone, Hal Velez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bobby Pierce came out of the goal and Hal Velez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 66 minutes into the match, Saks's goal looked a bit too open when Merlin McGill came free, but Bobby Pierce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hal Velez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Bobby Pierce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Alonzo Friedman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Merlin McGill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Royal winners's Glen Tang got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 73 minutes into the game, Merlin McGill cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Bobby Pierce was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Everett Brock fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saks's protests and gave Everett Brock a yellow card for diving instead. Everett Brock hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. If Merlin McGill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the game, Esteban Landers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Bobby Pierce was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bobby Pierce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hal Velez in the 89th minute of play. Alonzo Friedman's late challenge caught a Royal winners's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alonzo Friedman helped the player get up and apologised. Alonzo Friedman kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Merlin McGill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Merlin McGill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hal Velez in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bobby Pierce saved Saks from getting behind. Royal winners walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
