The supporters of August booed when Lake Goodwin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elton Stjohn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adalberto Hutchins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Roger Foley made a huge save. Thurman Griffith struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Joesph Gregg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lake Goodwin. Roger Foley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Bragg, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Elton Stjohn struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Joesph Gregg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lake Goodwin. Oren Barbour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thurman Griffith recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roger Foley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rocco Beam in the 35th minute of the match. In the 39th minute of the match, Patrick Bragg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Roger Foley saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Roger Foley was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Rocco Beam capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rocco Beam really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rocco Beam was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Lake Goodwin's goal looked a bit too open when Adalberto Hutchins came free, but Roger Foley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Oren Barbour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Dominique Caldwell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lake Goodwin's supporters rose to their feet, but Dominique Caldwell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joesph Gregg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, August's Patrick Bragg got a free kick in the 58th minute. Elton Stjohn hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Lake Goodwin's Roger Foley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adalberto Hutchins in the 60th minute of play. After 61 played minutes Lake Goodwin got a freekick which was hit by Elton Stjohn. Roger Foley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adalberto Hutchins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute, Patrick Bragg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The August fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. In the 70th minute of the match Fernando Watson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roger Foley showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 73 minutes into the game, August's Rocco Beam nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roger Foley made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Patrick Bragg's late challenge caught a Lake Goodwin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrick Bragg helped the player get up and apologised. Lake Goodwin's Thurman Griffith got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roger Foley came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by August's Pat Cordero. But to his dismay, Pat Cordero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Rocco Beam took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roger Foley. Roger Foley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-2. August's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
