If Marlon Smith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neal Barney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mel Ventura shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Robbie Skinner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raymundo Echols in the 22nd minute of the match. The supporters of Newtown Grant FC booed when Delta Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zachariah Dunlap didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robbie Skinner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raymundo Echols, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Delta Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Filiberto Doty came free, but Robbie Skinner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kenneth Elliott kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. With splendid footwork Marlon Smith arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 35th minute. When Marlon Smith came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Delta Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marlon Smith couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

If Raymundo Echols had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Newtown Grant FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Delta Football Club.
