Roland managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and D.J. Roland made a kick off. The supporters of Dodge City FC booed when Colonia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. D.J. Roland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Art Bustamante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tad Crusher got free with Gerard Regan in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 57 minutes, Art Bustamante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dodge City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Art Bustamante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brent Lewis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristopher Boggs scored 2-2 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Flint Burks, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
