Spectators: 8107 (Terracing: 6082, Seating: 1864, VIP seats: 161) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Yuri Hermes got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Cypress's Berat Taybars got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 7th minute of the match Charlie McGinnis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jose Longoria skillfully saved the ball. Cypress's Jose Longoria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Werner Atkinson in the 8th minute of play. The supporters of Avra Valley booed when Cypress was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lincoln Herbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Charlie McGinnis might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jose Longoria. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Charlie McGinnis ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Cypress getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Roger Bonds hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Avra Valley's zone, Chu Mo Yong stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waylon Paris came out of the goal and Chu Mo Yong tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute, Yuri Hermes made a precise shot to the right of Jose Longoria. Cypress's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Cypress's Jose Longoria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yuri Hermes in the 24th minute of play. Roger Bonds's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Waylon Paris skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 31 minutes into the match, Cypress's goal looked a bit too open when Yuri Hermes came free, but Jose Longoria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yuri Hermes took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jose Longoria. Jose Longoria dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. With a little luck, Avra Valley's Waylon Paris got control of the ball when Roger Bonds tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Cypress players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Avra Valley were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roger Bonds to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Avra Valley's zone, Raymundo Haas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waylon Paris came out of the goal and Raymundo Haas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Berat Taybars kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Jose Longoria made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yuri Hermes in the 63rd minute. Cypress's Jose Longoria proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Cypress from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Avra Valley defense, Roger Bonds kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Waylon Paris. The Avra Valley fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Waylon Paris should have stopped the shot. After 81 played minutes Cypress got a freekick which was hit by Raymundo Haas. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yuri Hermes got free with Jose Longoria in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eleuterio Arias's late challenge caught a Cypress's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eleuterio Arias helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Cypress booed when Avra Valley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleuterio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Avra Valley supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Avra Valley would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
