The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Cipiripi FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Laurence Shea hit a great ball. After having played for 5 minutes, Yuri Hermes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Avra Valley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yuri Hermes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cipiripi FC's Johnnie Lemon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stacey Montano in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Yuri Hermes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Johnnie Lemon. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vuk Cenić in the 12th minute of play forced Avra Valley's goalkeeper Waylon Paris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vuk Cenić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Waylon Paris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vuk Cenić, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Johnnie Lemon made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Yuri Hermes sent off a good shot on target. 31 minutes into the match, Cipiripi FC's goalkeeper Johnnie Lemon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yuri Hermes. In the 32nd minute, Cipiripi FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Werner Atkinson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Werner Atkinson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Johnnie Lemon made a huge save. Lee Cash's late challenge caught a Avra Valley's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lee Cash helped the player get up and apologised. Lee Cash kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Johnnie Lemon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stacey Montano in the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th minute Werner Atkinson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnnie Lemon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Avra Valley's Waylon Paris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rory Clifton in the 39th minute of play. Johnnie Lemon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yuri Hermes in the 42nd minute. The supporters of Cipiripi FC booed when Avra Valley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urban Björklund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johnnie Lemon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Werner Atkinson in the 48th minute of play. In the 48th minute, Avra Valley's Werner Atkinson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Johnnie Lemon. Johnnie Lemon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rory Clifton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Johnnie Lemon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stacey Montano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 57 minutes, Russ Braden mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Avra Valley and the Cipiripi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cipiripi FC's Johnnie Lemon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yuri Hermes in the 61st minute of play. Avra Valley made a substitution. Eleuterio Arias replaced Stacey Montano. The corner led Avra Valley's Charlie McGinnis to fire away a dangerous shot which Johnnie Lemon despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 65th match minute, Cipiripi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duncan Magee to maneuver through the defense. Johnnie Lemon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eleuterio Arias in the 66th minute of the match. Waylon Paris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rory Clifton in the 67th minute of play. Rory Clifton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Johnnie Lemon came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Avra Valley's Eleuterio Arias. But to his dismay, Eleuterio Arias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Eleuterio Arias took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Johnnie Lemon. Johnnie Lemon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. In the 80th minute, Rory Clifton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cipiripi FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. After a rather tough play, Cipiripi FC's Rory Clifton got a free kick in the 87th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eleuterio Arias in the 88th minute of play forced Cipiripi FC's goalkeeper Johnnie Lemon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johnnie Lemon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eleuterio Arias, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Yuri Hermes took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Johnnie Lemon. Johnnie Lemon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eleuterio Arias in the 95th minute of play forced Cipiripi FC's goalkeeper Johnnie Lemon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuri Hermes in the 96th minute of play forced Cipiripi FC's goalkeeper Johnnie Lemon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Waylon Paris made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rory Clifton in the 97th minute. Rory Clifton struck a weak shot in the 99th minute. Waylon Paris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cipiripi FC.
