Jack Neal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Reyna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Dunder Mifflin getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Damian Rhoades hit a great ball. Mountain West FC's Virgilio Whitney suffered a concussion after 14 minutes and had to leave the field. Antony Kidd charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antony Kidd the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mountain West FC made a substitution. Leif Donaldson replaced Virgilio Whitney. Antony Kidd hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Mountain West FC's Sammy Nixon slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jack Neal. That made the score 1-0 after 17 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sammy Nixon got free with Jack Neal in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Mountain West FC booed when Dunder Mifflin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Rhoades didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th match minute, Dunder Mifflin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Rhoades to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the match, Dunder Mifflin's goalkeeper Jack Neal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sammy Nixon. Sammy Nixon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jack Neal having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Damian Rhoades hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Darrell Humphrey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jack Neal having to make a save. When %teams%'s Sammy Nixon was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 2-0 just inside the left pole, 42 minutes into the game. Jack Neal was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sammy Nixon was the one to do the kick off. Roy Holman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Drew Tipton in the 51st minute. Damian Rhoades kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 64th minute of the match Van Walls sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jack Neal skillfully saved the ball. When Drew Tipton came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Dunder Mifflin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Drew Tipton couldn't finish the play. Mountain West FC's Roy Holman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Rhoades in the 69th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Drew Tipton notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Mountain West FC's Roy Holman. Roy Holman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 73rd minute, Sammy Nixon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mountain West FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. After some careless play in the Dunder Mifflin defense, Sammy Nixon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jack Neal. The Dunder Mifflin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jack Neal should have stopped the shot. After 82 minutes of play, Mountain West FC's Sammy Nixon made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jack Neal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Darrell Humphrey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Jack Neal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chris Reyna might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jack Neal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chris Reyna ran back to his position shaking his head. After 88 played minutes Dunder Mifflin got a freekick which was hit by Damian Rhoades. After a defensive mix-up in Dunder Mifflin's zone, Sammy Nixon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jack Neal came out of the goal and Sammy Nixon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dunder Mifflin's Jack Neal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sammy Nixon in the 96th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Mountain West FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
