INTER FC's Cedric Abbott proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save INTER FC from getting a goal against them. 16 minutes into the match, Valdosta's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Bonds came free, but Blaine Wills reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to INTER FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Tomas Bowden hit a great ball. Valdosta's Allen Delgado got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Giovanni Bachman hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. If Giovanni Bachman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Valdosta's goal looked a bit too open when Giovanni Bachman came free, but Blaine Wills reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giovanni Bachman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blaine Wills having to interfere. Blaine Wills took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovanni Bachman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Giovanni Bachman made a kick off. Jesus Donaldson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Blaine Wills having to make a save. 54 minutes into the match, Valdosta's goalkeeper Blaine Wills had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jesus Donaldson. 55 minutes into the game, Douglas McQueen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Blaine Wills was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alfonso Ferris kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Blaine Wills made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovanni Bachman in the 63rd minute of play. Blaine Wills made an important save on a dangerous shot by Giovanni Bachman in the 64th minute. Randall Scruggs hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the INTER FC defense, Randall Scruggs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cedric Abbott. The INTER FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cedric Abbott should have stopped the shot. Valdosta succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though INTER FC had controlled the match.
