After 20 played minutes Victoria got a freekick which was hit by Roosevelt Denson. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bradly Salinas in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Blaine Wills saved Valdosta from getting behind. Randall Scruggs succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 24th playminute. In the 32nd minute, Randall Scruggs made a precise shot to the right of Shelby Mercer. Victoria's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Spencer Willoughby got free with Shelby Mercer in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Blaine Wills showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tad Stephens in the 37th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the game, Moses Jean was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Victoria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Valdosta the free kick. The supporters of Valdosta booed when Victoria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moses Jean didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Henry McDonald hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Denver Chester could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Blaine Wills made a huge save. Victoria's Shelby Mercer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Randall Scruggs in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute Bradly Salinas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blaine Wills saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 59 minutes of play, Valdosta's Randall Scruggs made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Shelby Mercer was left in no man's land by his defense there! 62 minutes into the match, Victoria's goal looked a bit too open when Randall Scruggs came free, but Shelby Mercer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tad Stephens got free with Blaine Wills in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 82nd minute, Dominique Cartwright hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Randall Scruggs in the 84th minute of play forced Victoria's goalkeeper Shelby Mercer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Allen Delgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Valdosta fans cheered their team off the field, for while Victoria had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
