Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bradly Salinas started the match with the kick off. Shelby Mercer came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by United States's Pablo Opilano. But to his dismay, Pablo Opilano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. José Maria Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradly Salinas in the 10th minute of play. Shelby Mercer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 史岚庭 in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Victoria's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pablo Opilano was slow to take the kick. During this time United States's players had a chance to rest. Shelby Mercer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pablo Opilano's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. When 史岚庭 came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the United States fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 史岚庭 couldn't finish the play. Shelby Mercer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Parker in the 20th minute of the match. When 魏耀远 came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the United States fans jumped to their feet. Pablo Opilano scored 0-3 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Shelby Mercer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pablo Opilano was the one to do the kick off. Pablo Opilano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. United States's José Maria Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradly Salinas in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradly Salinas in the 56th minute of play forced United States's goalkeeper José Maria Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Roosevelt Denson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clinton Gould made in the 66th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by United States's Gerardo Pearson. After 68 played minutes Victoria got a freekick which was hit by Roosevelt Denson. Shelby Mercer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo Opilano in the 69th minute of the match. Peter Parker's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Shelby Mercer skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Peter Parker in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Shelby Mercer, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Victoria's Shelby Mercer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Victoria from getting a goal against them. Gerardo Pearson charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerardo Pearson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Victoria booed when United States was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Pearson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peter Parker who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Shelby Mercer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. United States's Ernest Pineda shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 93rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Shelby Mercer but with some difficulty. Peter Parker's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 94thth minute, Shelby Mercer skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Tad Stephens came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Victoria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tad Stephens couldn't finish the play. In the 97th match minute, Victoria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roosevelt Denson to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over United States could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Victoria throughout the match.
