The audience thought a goal was coming when Ferdinand Barber got free with José Maria Branco in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Peter Parker sped through Thunder FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lincoln Beal. 史岚庭 struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Lincoln Beal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for United States. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Opilano in the 24th minute of play forced Thunder FC's goalkeeper Lincoln Beal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Thunder FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! In the 30th match minute, Thunder FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Errol Schmitz to maneuver through the defense. Peter Parker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lincoln Beal having to interfere. A collision led to Thunder FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ali Hood hit a great ball. United States's Pablo Opilano got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lincoln Beal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Opilano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alistair Metzger charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alistair Metzger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Thunder FC's goalkeeper Lincoln Beal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Parker in the 45th minute of play forced Thunder FC's goalkeeper Lincoln Beal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half United States were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eusebio Aguirre to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Eusebio Aguirre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lincoln Beal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Opilano in the 62nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as United States's 史岚庭 slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lincoln Beal. That made the score 0-5 after 63 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, United States's 魏耀远 got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute Eusebio Aguirre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter Parker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Lincoln Beal made a huge save. A collision led to Thunder FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Blair Rose hit a great ball. Thunder FC's Lincoln Beal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Thunder FC from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Thunder FC defense, 史岚庭 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lincoln Beal. The Thunder FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lincoln Beal should have stopped the shot. In the 82nd minute, United States's Peter Parker ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lincoln Beal. Lincoln Beal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. In the 88th minute, 史岚庭 fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Lincoln Beal, passed just outside the right post. 91 minutes into the match, Peter Parker notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Thunder FC's Lincoln Beal. Lincoln Beal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Opilano in the 95th minute of play forced Thunder FC's goalkeeper Lincoln Beal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peter Parker got free with Lincoln Beal in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle sounded United States left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Thunder FC.
