Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ali Jacobson kicked off to start the match. Ian Tompkins charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ian Tompkins the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ivan Higgins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Errol Morin in the 16th minute. Filiberto Lovell took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Quentin Clifford. Grayville's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Errol Morin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ian Tompkins got his second yellow card in the match during the 23rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Ian Tompkins kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After having played for 26 minutes, Errol Morin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grayville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Errol Morin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Quentin Clifford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domenico Arden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivan Higgins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Jacobson in the 32nd minute of the match. If Errol Morin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Oscar Tomlinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Errol Morin came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Grayville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Errol Morin couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Oscar Tomlinson scored 0-2 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Quentin Clifford, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Grayville defense, Sydney Cowan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Quentin Clifford. The Grayville fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Quentin Clifford should have stopped the shot. Domenico Arden was extremely unlucky when he, in the 63rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Oscar Tomlinson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Downriver AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Oscar Tomlinson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Quentin Clifford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Downriver AFC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Oscar Tomlinson hit a great ball. In the 75th minute, Grayville's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Domenico Arden fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Downriver AFC's zone, Jimmy Shockley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Higgins came out of the goal and Jimmy Shockley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 80 played minutes Downriver AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rickey Russo. Errol Morin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the game, Ali Jacobson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grayville's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Downriver AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Grayville's Ali Jacobson got a free kick in the 88th minute. Alonzo Hoff kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Quentin Clifford acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 94th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Sydney Cowan. Domenico Arden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Quentin Clifford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Grayville fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Downriver AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
