Spectators: 7460 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1800, VIP seats: 160) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Sanford Egan got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Lenny Cortez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Todd Welsh, 1-0. An unexpected shot in the 7th minute by Sanford Egan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 7thth minute of the game Lenny Cortez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Redford's Todd Welsh was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A hard shot 11 in the game by Sanford Egan from a close distance when the talented Todd Welsh managed to make a qualified save. Redford's players were relieved. Redford's Cary Allen got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Redford's Cary Allen in 20 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Joshua Ashby guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After 24 minutes of play, Itta Bena's Sanford Egan made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Todd Welsh was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sanford Egan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Redford's Todd Welsh got control of the ball when Sanford Egan tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sanford Egan got free with Todd Welsh in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 40th minute of the match, Sanford Egan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Todd Welsh was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Pedrinho Paraibano kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Sanford Egan's late challenge caught a Redford's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sanford Egan helped the player get up and apologised. After 47 played minutes Itta Bena got a freekick which was hit by Sanford Egan. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Cary Allen made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Joe Hawk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 54 minutes, Sanford Egan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itta Bena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sanford Egan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Itta Bena's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Timmy Herrera 58 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. Sanford Egan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Todd Welsh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute Lenny Cortez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Todd Welsh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Redford's goal looked a bit too open when Sanford Egan came free, but Todd Welsh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Itta Bena getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Serafim Cordeiro hit a great ball. Joshua Ashby made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cary Allen in the 70th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sanford Egan in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Todd Welsh saved Redford from getting behind. Joe Hawk hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Sanford Egan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Todd Welsh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Redford's Todd Welsh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sanford Egan in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Sanford Egan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 86 minutes of play, Itta Bena's Lenny Cortez made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Todd Welsh was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee ended the match the Itta Bena players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
