Cary Allen started the match with the kick off. Logan Alvaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Todd Welsh having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Kraken AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cary Allen came free, but Olin Izturis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Kraken AFC booed when Redford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timmy Herrera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domenic Barajas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Todd Welsh. Redford's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Kraken AFC's zone, Cary Allen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olin Izturis came out of the goal and Cary Allen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute Cary Allen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olin Izturis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 19 minutes, Domenic Barajas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kraken AFC and the Redford players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 19 played minutes Kraken AFC got a freekick which was hit by Domenic Barajas. Merlin Cermak took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olin Izturis. Olin Izturis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Redford's Todd Welsh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Redford from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Redford defense, Logan Alvaro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Todd Welsh. The Redford fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Todd Welsh should have stopped the shot. Garry Bouchard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Todd Welsh having to interfere. A collision led to Redford getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Cary Allen hit a great ball. Bronson Frank kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Bradly Ludwig struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Olin Izturis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Redford. Kraken AFC's Olin Izturis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cary Allen in the 48th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Logan Alvaro to make the kick off. Kraken AFC's Olin Izturis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timmy Herrera in the 53rd minute of play. In the 58th match minute, Kraken AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Warren Pina to maneuver through the defense. Olin Izturis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timmy Herrera in the 62nd minute of play. After 64 minutes of play, Redford's Cary Allen made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olin Izturis was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Redford booed when Kraken AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Graham Pettit didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd match minute, Redford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Merlin Cermak to maneuver through the defense. When Logan Alvaro came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Kraken AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Logan Alvaro couldn't finish the play. In the 77th minute, Cary Allen made a precise shot to the right of Olin Izturis. Kraken AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Kraken AFC's Olin Izturis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Kraken AFC from getting a goal against them. Olin Izturis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Timmy Herrera showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 85 minute of play. In the 91st minute Timmy Herrera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olin Izturis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bradly Ludwig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Kraken AFC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
