Rudolf LeBlanc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanner Fish having to interfere. Tanner Fish made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Thomas Lin sent off a good shot on target. After 13 minutes, Silas Hatch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lewes and the Galaxy players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tanner Fish took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudolf LeBlanc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the game, one of Lewes:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Tanner Fish, was totally fooled by Galaxy's Adam Hook, who 31 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Silas Hatch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klement Olejasz having to interfere. Zachariah McCain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geoffrey Sanderson charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geoffrey Sanderson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Geoffrey Sanderson hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silas Hatch to make the kick off.
