Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tobias Battle started the match with the kick off. Tobias Battle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Stewart Blue tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cary Conrad hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute of the match Mikael Häger sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Donovan Dillard skillfully saved the ball. If Freddie Annan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tobias Battle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Stewart Blue tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elvis Sewell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donovan Dillard having to interfere. After 32 played minutes Littorio Veneto got a freekick which was hit by Mikael Häger. In the 36th minute Littorio Veneto were awarded a corner. Mikael Häger went to the cornerflag to take it. Stewart Blue was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Tobias Battle capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tobias Battle really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Lonnie Lind struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Donovan Dillard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Littorio Veneto. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

52 minutes into the game, Marengo FC's Freddie Annan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stewart Blue made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 55 minutes into the match, Tobias Battle notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Littorio Veneto's Stewart Blue. Stewart Blue was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Freddie Annan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stewart Blue having to make a save. Stewart Blue made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddie Annan in the 62nd minute of play. Marengo FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Geoff Baker in the 64th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Tobias Battle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marengo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tobias Battle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stewart Blue breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvis Sewell in the 82nd minute of play forced Marengo FC's goalkeeper Donovan Dillard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elvis Sewell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Freddie Annan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stewart Blue having to interfere. In the 92nd match minute, Littorio Veneto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lonnie Lind to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Marengo FC had won after a very even match.
