When Silas Hatch fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lewes's protests and gave Silas Hatch a yellow card for diving instead. Silas Hatch kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. When Erik Craven fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lewes's protests and gave Erik Craven a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of Lewes:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of PURDUE:s goal. In the 7th minute there was a penalty for PURDUE. Austin Melendez stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tanner Fish. 0-1. After some careless play in the Lewes defense, Milan Hurley kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tanner Fish. The Lewes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tanner Fish should have stopped the shot. In the 14th minute Milan Hurley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanner Fish saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tobias Carver hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After 26 played minutes PURDUE got a freekick which was hit by Maurice Felton. Tanner Fish made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milan Hurley in the 28th minute of play. A collision led to Lewes getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Silas Hatch hit a great ball. In the 34th minute Maurice Felton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanner Fish saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Maurice Felton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PURDUE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Lewes's Tanner Fish played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurice Felton in the 39th minute of play. Tanner Fish took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurice Felton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute of the match, Lenny Aranda tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ramon Hargrove saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Tanner Fish showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurice Felton, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. If Lenny Aranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The supporters of Lewes booed when PURDUE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdul Numbers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Renaldo Healy scored 1-3 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ramon Hargrove, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ramon Hargrove took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lenny Aranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lewes were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after PURDUE's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zachariah McCain took the corner. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurice Felton during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 70 played minutes PURDUE got a freekick which was hit by Maurice Felton. With his leg Tanner Fish managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when PURDUE's Milan Hurley fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Milan Hurley came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tanner Fish could save by the left post. With a little luck, Lewes's Tanner Fish got control of the ball when Milan Hurley tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maurice Felton received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tanner Fish came out and tried to block the shot, but Maurice Felton slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 85th minute. Tanner Fish made an important save on a dangerous shot by Milan Hurley in the 88th minute. Tanner Fish was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Abdul Numbers. Bryant Aaron kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Tanner Fish made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurice Felton in the 93rd minute of play. The PURDUE players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
