After a rather tough play, PURDUE's Maurice Felton got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After having played for 3 minutes, Elvis Sewell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Littorio Veneto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elvis Sewell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, PURDUE's Caleb West got a free kick in the 7th minute. Jordan Sizemore's late challenge caught a PURDUE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jordan Sizemore helped the player get up and apologised. After 8 played minutes Littorio Veneto got a freekick which was hit by Jordan Sizemore. The audience thought a goal was coming when Milan Hurley got free with Stewart Blue in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stewart Blue was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Maurice Felton capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Maurice Felton really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Maurice Felton succeeded in the game's 23rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. 28 minutes into the match, Littorio Veneto's goal looked a bit too open when Maurice Felton came free, but Stewart Blue reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Littorio Veneto booed when PURDUE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shannon Siegel didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to PURDUE getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Shannon Siegel hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maurice Felton made a kick off. In the 57th match minute, Littorio Veneto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lonnie Lind to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvis Sewell in the 66th minute of play forced PURDUE's goalkeeper Ramon Hargrove to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th match minute, PURDUE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caleb West to maneuver through the defense. Ramon Hargrove made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Mikael Häger sent off a good shot on target. After 71 played minutes, PURDUE's Shannon Siegel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Stewart Blue came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PURDUE reached it. If Elvis Sewell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 76 played minutes PURDUE got a freekick which was hit by Shannon Siegel. Stewart Blue made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milan Hurley in the 80th minute of play. Maurice Felton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stewart Blue read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Milan Hurley in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stewart Blue saved Littorio Veneto from getting behind. In the 97th minute, Milan Hurley ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stewart Blue was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0.
