After recieving a nice pass, American's Sal Norris tried to score from far away in the 11th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Abe Thomas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dario Stahl having to interfere. In the 19th match minute, Kathleen AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stanton Collier to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute of the match Sal Norris shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dario Stahl showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jarrett Helms scored 1-0 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dario Stahl, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Kathleen AFC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Cyrus Brunson hit a great ball. When Jarrett Helms fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored American's protests and gave Jarrett Helms a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st minute, Jarrett Helms hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nilson Velasco in the 40thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dario Stahl, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nilson Velascos short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Dario Stahl to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The long shot by Jamel Patton in the 44th minute really tested Dario Stahl's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a rather tough play, Kathleen AFC's Trenton Palacios got a free kick in the 45th minute. Kathleen AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Nilson Velasco 46 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nilson Velasco was the one to do the kick off. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Nilson Velasco sped through Kathleen AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dario Stahl. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nilson Velasco in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dario Stahl prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 72nd minute, Nilson Velasco made a precise shot to the right of Dario Stahl. Kathleen AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Kathleen AFC's Dario Stahl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilson Velasco in the 77th minute of play. Dario Stahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilson Velasco in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Kathleen AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Nilson Velasco came free, but Dario Stahl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nilson Velasco in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dario Stahl saved Kathleen AFC from getting behind. In the 96th minute Reinaldo Zapata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ben Raymond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The American players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
