Spectators: 8015 (Terracing: 6013, Seating: 1843, VIP seats: 159) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Martin Bond made the kick off which started today's match. The audience was convinced that Nilson Velasco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chuck Matlock was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. In the 7th minute, Martin Bond made a precise shot to the right of Ben Raymond. American's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Nilson Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Chuck Matlock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nilson Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chuck Matlock having to interfere. After 17 played minutes Copenhagen FC got a freekick which was hit by Fred Felton. Sal Norris's late challenge caught a Copenhagen FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sal Norris helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Copenhagen FC booed when American was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sal Norris didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martin Bond took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ben Raymond. Ben Raymond dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Chuck Matlock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nilson Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jarrett Helms struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Chuck Matlock didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for American. Percy Gallardo kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Chuck Matlock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilson Velasco in the 27th minute of the match. Jarrett Helms recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Nilson Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot. American's supporters rose to their feet, but Nilson Velasco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chuck Matlock breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jarrett Helms had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, Nilson Velasco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The American fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Chuck Matlock made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Sal Norris sent off a good shot on target. Nilson Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. After having played for 47 minutes, Hayden Williams managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. American's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hayden Williams was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nilson Velasco to make the kick off. Chuck Matlock didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jarrett Helms went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Jarrett Helms scored 4-2 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Chuck Matlock, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 67 minutes into the match, American's goal looked a bit too open when Reed Hadley came free, but Ben Raymond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of American booed when Copenhagen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trevor Bernstein didn't get a good kick on the ball. Copenhagen FC's Chuck Matlock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilson Velasco in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute of the match Denis Perdue shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Chuck Matlock showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Fred Felton could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Ben Raymond however easily saved by the left post. After some careless play in the Copenhagen FC defense, Nilson Velasco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chuck Matlock. The Copenhagen FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chuck Matlock should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, American's Denis Perdue got a free kick in the 81st minute. Ben Raymond was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Murray Pierce showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 6-3 in the 82 minute of play. After 85 played minutes, American's Jamel Patton shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Chuck Matlock came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in American reached it. Copenhagen FC's Chuck Matlock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilson Velasco in the 86th minute of play. If Nilson Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
