Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Reinaldo Zapata started the match with the kick off. Joel Stover made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stanton Collier in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinaldo Zapata in the 7th minute of play forced Valley FC's goalkeeper Joel Stover to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dario Stahl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Shipley in the 8th minute. Tomas Shipley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Dario Stahl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, Adrian Dupre recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dario Stahl. Adrian Dupre showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Adrian Dupre hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Joel Stover showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinaldo Zapata, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The supporters of Kathleen AFC booed when Valley FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Dupre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Trenton Palacios kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. The supporters of Kathleen AFC booed when Valley FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shane Bullock didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kathleen AFC's Reinaldo Zapata got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Saul Esquivel came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Valley FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saul Esquivel couldn't finish the play. Dario Stahl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Dupre in the 43rd minute of the match. Odell Lott might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dario Stahl. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Odell Lott ran back to his position shaking his head. Reinaldo Zapata took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joel Stover. Joel Stover dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After a rather tough play, Valley FC's Theron Vaughn got a free kick in the 55th minute. Valley FC's Adrian Dupre got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Adrian Dupre fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Valley FC's protests and gave Adrian Dupre a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kathleen AFC booed when Valley FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Dupre didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Tomas Shipley came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Valley FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Shipley couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Valley FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Lane Trevino hit a great ball. After 72 minutes of play, Kathleen AFC's Reinaldo Zapata made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joel Stover was left in no man's land by his defense there! Shane Bullock hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Dario Stahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Dupre, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Kathleen AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
