Seating: 1857, VIP seats: 160) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nilson Velasco kicked off to start the match. If Nilson Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abe Thomas during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 3 played minutes American got a freekick which was hit by Abe Thomas. Ben Raymond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dexter Cora, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Chelsea FC's Brady Slater played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sal Norris in the 9th minute of play. Jarrett Helms hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. American's Nilson Velasco was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 14th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Chelsea FC were furious when Orlando Velasco was red carded, 20 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 19 minutes into the game, one of Chelsea FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave American a penalty, 21 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sal Norris, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Chelsea FC's Brady Slater. 2-0. Nilson Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Brady Slater tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sid Bowser hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Pascal Drummond ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ben Raymond was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. A collision led to Chelsea FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Dexter Cora hit a great ball. In the 36th match minute, American was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hayden Williams to maneuver through the defense. Ben Raymond didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pascal Drummond went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Valle in the 41st minute of play forced American's goalkeeper Ben Raymond to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pascal Drummond made a kick off. Lance Dupree charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lance Dupree the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 53 played minutes Chelsea FC got a freekick which was hit by Lance Dupree. In the game's 54th minute American's Sal Norris took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Brady Slater and thus the score was 4-2. Anthony Barnhart kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Nilson Velasco might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brady Slater. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nilson Velasco ran back to his position shaking his head. If Nilson Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sid Bowser came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the American fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sid Bowser couldn't finish the play. After 85 minutes, Dexter Cora mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chelsea FC and the American players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Chelsea FC's Dexter Cora got a free kick in the 85th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nilson Velasco in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brady Slater prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 96 minutes, Pascal Drummond managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chelsea FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pascal Drummond was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. American had won after a very even match.
