Ben Raymond was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Saul Esquivel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Joel Stover showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilson Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. With a little luck, Valley FC's Joel Stover got control of the ball when Nilson Velasco tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nilson Velasco got free with Joel Stover in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Saul Esquivel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Valley FC's Adrian Dupre got a free kick in the 90th minute. The Valley FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching American's performance. The match ended with a win for American.
