Green Valley's Joshua Whitney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by A.J. Murdock in the 9th minute of play. Gerard Lehman hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. When Colorado Springs F.C.'s Enoch Mallory in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerard Lehman during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joshua Whitney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from A.J. Murdock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A.J. Murdock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Colorado Springs F.C. booed when Green Valley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Stafford didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Green Valley. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Elijah McCain took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Jorge Stafford to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by A.J. Murdock in the 62nd minute of play forced Green Valley's goalkeeper Joshua Whitney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Colorado Springs F.C.'s A.J. Murdock got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Green Valley booed when Colorado Springs F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. A.J. Murdock didn't get a good kick on the ball. A.J. Jorge Stafford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marshall Yost, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Elijah McCain could shoot a difficult shot in the 80th minute, which Jorge Stafford however easily saved by the left post. Enoch Mallory received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Joshua Whitney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olin Fernandez missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 96 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Joshua Whitney right hand side. The Green Valley supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Green Valley would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
