Jerrod Caudill could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Alex Westbrook made a huge save. 77 minutes into the game, Jerrod Caudill recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alex Westbrook. Jerrod Caudill showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. After some careless play in the Monmouth defense, Jerrod Caudill kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alex Westbrook. The Monmouth fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alex Westbrook should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Monmouth's Alex Westbrook got control of the ball when Jerrod Caudill tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 90 played minutes Monmouth got a freekick which was hit by Alexis Ferrell. 93 minutes into the game, Claude Helton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monmouth's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bowling Green the free kick.
