Hunter Mackey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brady Flynn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th match minute, Fresamex FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jessie Armenta to maneuver through the defense. Jessie Armenta struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Vincenzo Hicks took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Hunter Mackey to make any attempt to save it. Brady Flynn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Hunter Mackey made a huge save. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Brady Flynn made the kick off in the second half. If Felipe Ventura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. Nene Fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fresamex FC the free kick. In the 91st minute, Eddy Hull fired a really elegant long shot, but Von Woodson threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brady Flynn during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fresamex FC made a substitution. Chad Bledsoe replaced Oren Edwards. After 97 played minutes Nene Fc got a freekick which was hit by Brady Flynn. When the match was over Fresamex FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Nene Fc throughout the match.
