Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Casey Michel could shoot a difficult shot in the 8th minute, which Gilberto Boyer however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in RiverCity Gamblers's zone, Flint Thacker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismael Kline came out of the goal and Flint Thacker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ismael Kline made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradley Burroughs in the 21st minute of play. When Michal Rejman came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Djibouti Jujy Fruits fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michal Rejman couldn't finish the play. After 30 minutes, Fritz Futterman made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. RiverCity Gamblers's Ismael Kline tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nathaniel Pate during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Caleb Agostino replaced Flint Thacker. After a rather tough play, RiverCity Gamblers's Scottie Bates got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After having played for 47 minutes, Fritz Futterman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Djibouti Jujy Fruits's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fritz Futterman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Michal Rejman to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Fritz Futterman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Michal Rejman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Djibouti Jujy Fruits booed when RiverCity Gamblers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toby Buckley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bradly Root fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Boyer having to interfere. If Bradley Burroughs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Djibouti Jujy Fruits's Kasey Lopez quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Scottie Bates, made in the 75th minute of the game. 76 minutes into the match, Fritz Futterman notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of RiverCity Gamblers's Ismael Kline. Ismael Kline was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fritz Futterman took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ismael Kline. Ismael Kline dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Gerald McRae hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Casey Michel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Djibouti Jujy Fruits's Brock Coles got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Djibouti Jujy Fruits's goal looked a bit too open when Casey Michel came free, but Gilberto Boyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brock Coles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Kline having to interfere. Djibouti Jujy Fruits played a much better game than RiverCity Gamblers and deserved their victory. The RiverCity Gamblers players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
