A collision led to Los Gordos getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Ward Layton hit a great ball. Gerald McRae hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Brett Steward shot from long distance in the 6th minute, but Ismael Kline was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tommie Horne during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Los Gordos's Tommie Horne got a free kick in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradly Root in the 12th minute of play forced Los Gordos's goalkeeper Jayson Slaughter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute, Scottie Bates hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 15 played minutes RiverCity Gamblers got a freekick which was hit by Eric Vernon. Bradly Root sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casey Michel in the 22nd minute of play forced Los Gordos's goalkeeper Jayson Slaughter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 25 played minutes RiverCity Gamblers got a freekick which was hit by Scottie Bates. In the 28th minute of the match Los Gordos got a corner. RiverCity Gamblers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jay Seals ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Ward Layton heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 30th minute, Jay Seals hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Casey Michel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Jayson Slaughter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After having played for 53 minutes, Casey Michel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RiverCity Gamblers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Casey Michel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 54 minutes into the match, Los Gordos's goal looked a bit too open when Bradly Root came free, but Jayson Slaughter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerald McRae kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Tommie Horne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the match, Los Gordos's goal looked a bit too open when Bradly Root came free, but Jayson Slaughter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Domenic Biggs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Kline having to interfere. Casey Michel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Jayson Slaughter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. RiverCity Gamblers's Casey Michel got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bradly Root struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Jayson Slaughter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RiverCity Gamblers. Domenic Biggs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Ismael Kline tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Los Gordos's Jayson Slaughter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Los Gordos from getting a goal against them. Casey Michel came free with the goalkeeper in the 85th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jayson Slaughter could save by the left post. When Bradly Root came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the RiverCity Gamblers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bradly Root couldn't finish the play. Los Gordos were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
