RiverCity Gamblers's Ismael Kline played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mitchell Starr in the 3rd minute of play. Rolando Callahan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Ismael Kline tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Rolando Callahan could shoot a difficult shot in the 8th minute, which Ismael Kline however easily saved by the left post. Cristopher Munson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casey Michel, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Cristopher Munson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gerald McRae went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Bradly Root received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Cristopher Munson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quinton Webber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute Bradly Root shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristopher Munson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristopher Munson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casey Michel, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. If Mitchell Starr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdul Vaughn in the 36th minute of play forced Los Angeles F.C's goalkeeper Cristopher Munson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Los Angeles F.C getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Christian Magee hit a great ball. Cristopher Munson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradly Root in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Casey Michel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Cristopher Munson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Casey Michel scored 0-3 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristopher Munson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bradly Root to strike the kick off in the second half. Casey Michel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Cristopher Munson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rolando Callahan struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Ismael Kline didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Angeles F.C. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Eric Vernon managed to get in a good position for a shot. RiverCity Gamblers's supporters rose to their feet, but Eric Vernon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristopher Munson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristopher Munson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradly Root in the 71st minute of play. Ismael Kline showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Keith Duffy, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Los Angeles F.C's goalkeeper Cristopher Munson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Casey Michel. After 78 played minutes Los Angeles F.C got a freekick which was hit by Gerry Ivey. Bradly Root took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristopher Munson. Cristopher Munson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. If Casey Michel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abdul Vaughn during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Los Angeles F.C's Cristopher Munson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Los Angeles F.C from getting a goal against them. Mitchell Starr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Kline having to interfere. When Eric Vernon fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RiverCity Gamblers's protests and gave Eric Vernon a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, RiverCity Gamblers's Eric Vernon got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Toby Buckley hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched RiverCity Gamblers eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
