Muppet XI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RiverCity Gamblers the free kick. In the 6th minute, Dudley Carrington hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th minute, Muppet XI's Jonas Mathews seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jonas Mathews the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Muppet XI protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jonas Mathews had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 8th match minute, Muppet XI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Mathews to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute Casey Michel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duke Holden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Muppet XI's Hunter Bermudez got a free kick in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Muppet XI's goal looked a bit too open when Casey Michel came free, but Duke Holden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With 18 minutes on the clock, Scottie Bates commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 18th minute, one of RiverCity Gamblers:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for RiverCity Gamblers. Conrad Madison shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Casey Michel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dudley Carrington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in RiverCity Gamblers fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 33 minutes, Muppet XI's Conrad Madison got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ismael Kline. With a little luck, RiverCity Gamblers's Ismael Kline got control of the ball when Roberto Suggs tried to sneak it across the goal line. Duke Holden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casey Michel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Weldon Chester's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Ismael Kline skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Muppet XI's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hunter Bermudez in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Casey Michel to strike the kick off in the second half. Casey Michel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Duke Holden made a huge save. In the 53rd minute, RiverCity Gamblers's Casey Michel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Duke Holden. Duke Holden yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. With a little luck, Muppet XI's Duke Holden got control of the ball when Gerald McRae tried to sneak it across the goal line. Casey Michel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Duke Holden made a huge save. In the 59th minute, Hunter Bermudez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Casey Michel got free with Duke Holden in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as RiverCity Gamblers's Casey Michel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Duke Holden. That made the score 1-2 after 63 minutes of play. Casey Michel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Duke Holden made a huge save. 68 minutes in the game, Casey Michel fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Duke Holden having to interfere. A collision led to Muppet XI getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Rex Henson hit a great ball. After 72 minutes of play, Muppet XI's Weldon Chester made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ismael Kline was left in no man's land by his defense there! A hard shot by Toby Buckley from long distance, 80 minutes into the match, got Duke Holden's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Rex Henson charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rex Henson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Duke Holden was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Isidro Hewitt. In the 87th minute, RiverCity Gamblers's Eric Vernon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Duke Holden. Duke Holden yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. After 89 played minutes Muppet XI got a freekick which was hit by Weldon Chester. After 96 minutes, Roberto Suggs mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Muppet XI and the RiverCity Gamblers players grew even worse after the yellow card. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
