Keith Duffy hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. After having played for 3 minutes, Alfredo Buckner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AXELSJERO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Buckner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Duke Beach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the game, Rolando Callahan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Duke Beach was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 35 minutes into the game, Los Angeles F.C's Mitchell Starr nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Duke Beach made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. With a little luck, Los Angeles F.C's Cristopher Munson got control of the ball when Brice Coffman tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 44th minute there was a penalty for Los Angeles F.C. Gerry Ivey stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Duke Beach. 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rolando Callahan in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Duke Beach saved AXELSJERO from getting behind. After the first half Los Angeles F.C were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rolando Callahan to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Los Angeles F.C's Rolando Callahan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Duke Beach. Duke Beach yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Brice Coffman struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Cristopher Munson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AXELSJERO. Alfredo Buckner struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Cristopher Munson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeff Delarosa in the 60th minute of play. A collision led to Los Angeles F.C getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Cristopher Munson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 77th minute, Brice Coffman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristopher Munson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. 82 minutes into the match, AXELSJERO's goalkeeper Duke Beach had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rolando Callahan. Quinton Webber might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Duke Beach. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Quinton Webber ran back to his position shaking his head. Mitchell Starr recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute Alfredo Buckner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristopher Munson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brice Coffman struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Cristopher Munson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AXELSJERO. If Alfredo Buckner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Los Angeles F.C walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
