Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Desmond Bruner made the kick off which started today's match. Desmond Bruner might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Michael Parnell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Desmond Bruner ran back to his position shaking his head. Derek McGowan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Young Puckett in the 10th minute of play. If Ross Landers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Oswego's zone, Bennett Newcomb stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael Parnell came out of the goal and Bennett Newcomb tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Winston Huff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The nice shot from Winston Huff in the 22ndth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Derek McGowan had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. When Paul McConnell fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Forest SC's protests and gave Paul McConnell a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Forest SC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Paul McConnell hit a great ball. Winston Huff recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 26 played minutes Oswego got a freekick which was hit by DeAndre Tomlinson. Derek McGowan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Young Puckett in the 28th minute of the match. Michael Parnell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Ciccaglione in the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by DeAndre Tomlinson in the 31st minute of play forced Forest SC's goalkeeper Derek McGowan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Forest SC's Derek McGowan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Young Puckett in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Forest SC's Desmond Bruner nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Michael Parnell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Desmond Bruner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 40 minutes, DeAndre Tomlinson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oswego and the Forest SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Forest SC booed when Oswego was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. DeAndre Tomlinson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Desmond Bruner ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Michael Parnell was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Derek McGowan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Young Puckett, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Young Puckett stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ross Landers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Michael Parnell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 54th match minute, Forest SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Connor Caudill to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 65 minutes, Ross Landers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Forest SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ross Landers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Winston Huff in the 69th minute of play forced Forest SC's goalkeeper Derek McGowan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Desmond Bruner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 1-2 became the score in the 79th minute when DeAndre Tomlinson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Michael Parnell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul McConnell in the 85th minute of the match. Desmond Bruner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Parnell having to interfere. After 89 minutes, Zachary Novak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oswego and the Forest SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 90 played minutes Oswego got a freekick which was hit by Zachary Novak.
