Dennis Galvan's late challenge caught a Forest SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcos Ciccaglione fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Monte Padilla having to interfere. Monte Padilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desmond Bruner in the 21st minute of play. If Ross Landers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. When Marcus Chung fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tarboro's protests and gave Marcus Chung a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Forest SC booed when Tarboro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcus Chung didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tarboro's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Ross Landers scored to the left of an out of position Monte Padilla, making the score, 1-0. Ross Landers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marcos Ciccaglione had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Ciccaglione's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Monte Padilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Derek McGowan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dylan Barton in the 38th minute of play. Ross Landers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcus Chung stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Tarboro getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. After having played for 58 minutes, Desmond Bruner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Forest SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Desmond Bruner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ross Landers took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Monte Padilla. Monte Padilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Ross Landers struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Monte Padilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Forest SC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desmond Bruner in the 92nd minute of play forced Tarboro's goalkeeper Monte Padilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Monte Padilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Ciccaglione, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When Desmond Bruner, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 95 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Monte Padilla was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar.
