Casey Whitfield kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alonzo Donovan in the 8th minute of play forced Mickey Cohen FC's goalkeeper Mel Masters to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isaiah Grove made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timmy Shapiro in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th match minute, Mickey Cohen FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roscoe Walter to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Scottie Reid in the 14th minute really tested Mel Masters's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Mel Masters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casey Whitfield, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Isaiah Grove took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chance Canales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute Casey Whitfield shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mel Masters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chance Canales during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Chance Canales kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mickey Cohen FC's goalkeeper Mel Masters, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Alonzo Donovan fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Washburn FC's protests and gave Alonzo Donovan a yellow card for diving instead. Isaiah Grove showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chance Canales in the 33rd minute of the match. Chance Canales sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute, Dallas Kearney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isaiah Grove made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chance Canales in the 41st minute of play. Rashad Marrero kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Casey Whitfield made a kick off. Chance Canales could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Isaiah Grove made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Dalton McElroy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Washburn FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dalton McElroy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mel Masters breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isaiah Grove didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 60th minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. In the 63rd minute, Scottie Reid hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isaiah Grove made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chance Canales in the 67th minute. Chance Canales could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Isaiah Grove made a huge save. After 77 played minutes Mickey Cohen FC got a freekick which was hit by Rashad Marrero. With his leg Isaiah Grove managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Mickey Cohen FC's Chance Canales fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 87th minute of the game Cliff Horner made a throw-in which Scottie Reid played forward. In the 89th minute, Casey Whitfield made a precise shot to the right of Mel Masters. Mickey Cohen FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Washburn FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
