Matthorias FC's Belmiro Palermo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedict Cottrell in the 3rd minute of play. If Toby Cavazos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Toby Cavazos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Belmiro Palermo was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. In the 16th minute, Otto Mosher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th match minute, Los Angeles FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Nichols to maneuver through the defense. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Toby Cavazos was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Jacques Sorenson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matthorias FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacques Sorenson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 61st minute, Gerry Randall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benedict Cottrell, 62 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Los Angeles FC's Wallace McConnell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarvis Zamora in the 67th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Jarvis Zamora left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Matthorias FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 80th minute, Jarvis Zamora ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wallace McConnell was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After a rather tough play, Matthorias FC's Jarvis Zamora got a free kick in the 85th minute. Jarvis Zamora hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Los Angeles FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Matthorias FC.
