Spectators: 7540 (Terracing: 5550, Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Danny Vargas started the match with the kick off. Rickie Love scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tracy Walls, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 7th minute, Casper Laws hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th minute of the match Rico Grimes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tracy Walls skillfully saved the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Rickie Love notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Millersville AFC's Tracy Walls. Tracy Walls was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 14 minutes of play, Holmes Beach's Billy Reeves made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tracy Walls was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 17th minute Rickie Love shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tracy Walls saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Rickie Love made a precise shot to the right of Tracy Walls. Millersville AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickie Love in the 22nd minute of play forced Millersville AFC's goalkeeper Tracy Walls to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rickie Love struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Tracy Walls didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Holmes Beach. 26 minutes into the game, Billy Reeves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Holmes Beach's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Millersville AFC the free kick. After 26 played minutes Holmes Beach got a freekick which was hit by Billy Reeves. Vincenzo Price fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ediberto Messias having to interfere. When Rickie Love came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Holmes Beach fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rickie Love couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Millersville AFC defense, Rickie Love kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tracy Walls. The Millersville AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tracy Walls should have stopped the shot. After the first half Holmes Beach were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rickie Love was the one to do the kick off. Rico Grimes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tracy Walls. Millersville AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danny Vargas in the 66th minute of play forced Holmes Beach's goalkeeper Ediberto Messias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Holmes Beach's Rickie Love sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tracy Walls narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tracy Walls made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Rickie Love sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Millersville AFC's Tracy Walls got control of the ball when Rickie Love tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ediberto Messias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincenzo Price in the 75th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Holmes Beach's goal looked a bit too open when Vincenzo Price came free, but Ediberto Messias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Holmes Beach were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Millersville AFC's much stronger midfield.
