Thad Fisher was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Cobi Wray's late challenge caught a Red Dragons's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cobi Wray helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Red Dragons booed when Brainerd FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cobi Wray didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st match minute, Red Dragons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Will Cameron to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the match, Jackson McGrath dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Phillip Quintana, 1-2. In the 31st minute Bart Wyatt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Pearson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Jayson Faulk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Red Dragons's supporters rose to their feet, but Jayson Faulk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Pearson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 40th minute, Cobi Wray reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Phillip Quintana. The goal made the score 2-3. Alex Pearson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bart Wyatt in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 48th minute, Bart Wyatt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Red Dragons fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-4 lead.

Alex Pearson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jayson Faulk's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. After 56th play minutes Jayson Faulk shot 2-5, a short shot which went by Alex Pearson and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 62nd minute Cobi Wray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phillip Quintana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Cobi Wray was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 64 minutes had been played. In the 64th minute, Cobi Wray hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Shawn Diamond took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Phillip Quintana. Phillip Quintana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-5. Arnoldo Stahl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phillip Quintana having to interfere. Alex Pearson didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Red Dragons's Bart Wyatt shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-6 in the ordered_time% minute. After 78 played minutes Brainerd FC got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Stahl. Phillip Quintana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shawn Diamond in the 81st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Jayson Faulk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alex Pearson was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. 89 minutes into the match, Brainerd FC's goalkeeper Alex Pearson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jayson Faulk. In the 91st minute, Bart Wyatt made a precise shot to the right of Alex Pearson. Brainerd FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-7. Red Dragons played a much better game than Brainerd FC and deserved their victory. The Brainerd FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
