Lucas Vasquez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Alfredo Draper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 6th minute, Rhett Boone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raymundo Uster made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Alfredo Draper sent off a good shot on target. Dearborn AFC's David Fontenot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rhett Boone in the 9th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Lucas Vasquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 15 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Dearborn AFC! Alfredo Draper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raymundo Uster having to interfere. Alfredo Draper's late challenge caught a Agustin FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfredo Draper helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th match minute, Dearborn AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Draper to maneuver through the defense. Dearborn AFC's David Fontenot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Whaley in the 26th minute of play. If Alfredo Draper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Fontenot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Whaley, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After some careless play in the Dearborn AFC defense, James Haas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Fontenot. The Dearborn AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Fontenot should have stopped the shot. David Fontenot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domenic Locke, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Dearborn AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alfredo Draper in the 53rd minute. Alfredo Draper made a great header on Dearborn AFC's corner, it was just that Agustin FC's Raymundo Uster managed to reach the ball for a save. Lucas Vasquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Agustin FC booed when Dearborn AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reginald Wilkins didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 61 played minutes, Agustin FC's Aidan Dorsey shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper David Fontenot came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Agustin FC reached it. Domenic Locke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but David Fontenot made a huge save. 63 minutes into the match, James Haas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Fontenot. Dearborn AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that James Haas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Domenic Locke charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Domenic Locke the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 66th match minute, Agustin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domenic Locke to maneuver through the defense. David Fontenot was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alberto Whaley showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 71 minute of play. Alfredo Draper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Raymundo Uster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute Rhett Boone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Fontenot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Domenic Locke got free with David Fontenot in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Russell Ziegler kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. David Fontenot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rhett Boone in the 92nd minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Agustin FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
