John Goodson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oswaldo Sutton having to make a save. In the 47th minute, Neal Jacobs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and J.P. Watkins made a kick off. In the 58th minute, J.P. Watkins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oswaldo Sutton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Goodson in the 61st minute of play. A collision led to Port Aransas FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Al Carson made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Neal Jacobs sent off a good shot on target. Joseph Cao Xiaos short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Al Carson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. J.P. Watkins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Smithtown left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Port Aransas FC.
