The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rocky Donovan during the 3rd minute. Rico Lloyd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by 洪景诚 in the 14th minute of play forced Wheatmore High School's goalkeeper Garry Valentine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Damian Lind managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wheatmore High School's supporters rose to their feet, but Damian Lind was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rico Lloyd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Milan Knapp charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Milan Knapp the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Airmont AFC's Milan Knapp got a free kick in the 40th minute. 洪景诚 took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Garry Valentine. The wind increased when 洪景诚 made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Wheatmore High School's goal looked a bit too open when 洪景诚 came free, but Garry Valentine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 60 minutes into the game, 洪景诚 recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Garry Valentine. 洪景诚 showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. In the 66th minute, Wendell Walton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rico Lloyd was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-8. Wheatmore High School's Damian Lind got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 70 minutes into the game, Teddy Samuel threw the ball into play from the sideline. Wheatmore High School's Nathan Sweet quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Wheatmore High School's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when 洪景诚 scored to the left of an out of position Garry Valentine, making the score, 1-9. Wheatmore High School's Garry Valentine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanford Conrad in the 78th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when 洪景诚 got free with Garry Valentine in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 80th minute, Wendell Walton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Garry Valentine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 洪景诚, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 洪景诚 scored 1-10 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Garry Valentine, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match was over Airmont AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Wheatmore High School throughout the match.
