Seating: 1869, VIP seats: 15) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Devin Higgins took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of IssueInsiders booed when Carpinteria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Berger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bennett Russ didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 6th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Devin Higgins couldn't finish the play. IssueInsiders's Lorenzo Castelletti got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lorenzo Castelletti in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bennett Russ saved Carpinteria from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Carpinteria's zone, Lorenzo Castelletti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bennett Russ came out of the goal and Lorenzo Castelletti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorenzo Castelletti in the 35th minute of play forced Carpinteria's goalkeeper Bennett Russ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tiago Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Carpinteria's goal looked a bit too open when Lorenzo Castelletti came free, but Bennett Russ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 46 in the game by Tiago Goiano from a close distance when the talented Bennett Russ managed to make a qualified save. Carpinteria's players were relieved. Thanks to some nice moves Tiago Goiano could shoot a difficult shot in the 49th minute, which Bennett Russ however easily saved by the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tiago Goiano was the one to do the kick off. Bennett Russ took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorenzo Castelletti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bennett Russ stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiago Goiano's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. After 68 played minutes Carpinteria got a freekick which was hit by Wilbur Bullock. Bennett Russ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Goiano in the 73rd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, IssueInsiders's goalkeeper Adélio Belém had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zackary Cunningham. Lorenzo Castelletti struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Bennett Russ didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for IssueInsiders. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dylan Bonner during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Carpinteria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave IssueInsiders the free kick. After 98 played minutes Carpinteria got a freekick which was hit by Brock Paquette. Carpinteria's Bennett Russ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Goiano in the 100th minute of play.
