Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Neal Crane's late challenge caught a Discovery Bay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Neal Crane helped the player get up and apologised. Neal Crane kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Rick Lane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Devin Higgins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Discovery Bay's Rick Lane got control of the ball when Wilbur Bullock tried to sneak it across the goal line. Shelton Watts blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rick Lane having to make a save. Rick Lane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Devin Higgins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Corey Childers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bennett Russ was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Neal Crane hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shelton Watts got free with Rick Lane in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bennett Russ stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Corey Childers's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Discovery Bay's goalkeeper Rick Lane had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Shelton Watts. Rick Lane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Devin Higgins in the 28th minute of play. Discovery Bay's Rick Lane proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Discovery Bay from getting a goal against them. 31 minutes into the match, Discovery Bay's goal looked a bit too open when Devin Higgins came free, but Rick Lane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Neal Crane dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rick Lane, 1-1. After some careless play in the Carpinteria defense, Corey Childers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bennett Russ. The Carpinteria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bennett Russ should have stopped the shot. During the 47th minute of the match Neal Crane completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Neal Crane a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 48th match minute, Carpinteria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neal Crane to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Carpinteria's Brock Paquette got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zackary Cunningham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Rick Lane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Zackary Cunningham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rick Lane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Devin Higgins, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Discovery Bay's Rick Lane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zackary Cunningham in the 64th minute of play. Corey Childers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 67 minutes into the game, Zackary Cunningham was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carpinteria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Discovery Bay the free kick. After 67 played minutes Carpinteria got a freekick which was hit by Zackary Cunningham. Darrel McCauley struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Bennett Russ didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Discovery Bay. If Wilton Carrillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zackary Cunningham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Rick Lane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rick Lane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Devin Higgins, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zackary Cunningham in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rick Lane saved Discovery Bay from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Devin Higgins in the 83rd minute of play forced Discovery Bay's goalkeeper Rick Lane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rick Lane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zackary Cunningham in the 86th minute of play. When Carpinteria's Zackary Cunningham in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Discovery Bay's goalie prevented a goal. In the 89th match minute, Carpinteria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zackary Cunningham to maneuver through the defense. Darrel McCauley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bennett Russ having to interfere. Discovery Bay's Darrel McCauley got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Zackary Cunningham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
