He walked away shaking his head. In the 40th minute Quentin Belanger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jake Cronshagen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jake Cronshagen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abe Bellamy in the 41st minute of play. After 45 minutes of play, Alden's Del Carrington made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jake Cronshagen was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Alden were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when J.P. Urbina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jake Cronshagen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abe Bellamy in the 55th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Abe Bellamy kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jake Cronshagen. That made the score 1-8 in the 72 minute of play. Jake Cronshagen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abe Bellamy, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 78th minute Edgar Toth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quinton Sewell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jake Cronshagen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abe Bellamy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
