Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marshall Stoner started the match with the kick off. Quinton Sewell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heriberto Alston in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 4th match minute, Sawgrass was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Pugh to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Del Carrington managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alden's supporters rose to their feet, but Del Carrington was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duane Carbajal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Del Carringtons short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Duane Carbajal to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Del Carrington came free with the goalkeeper in the 23rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Duane Carbajal could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Sawgrass's Shelby Kirkland got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Sawgrass's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Abe Bellamy 24 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. After some careless play in the Alden defense, Marshall Stoner kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Quinton Sewell. The Alden fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Quinton Sewell should have stopped the shot. Quentin Belanger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Duane Carbajal was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Del Carrington showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 39 minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Marshall Stoner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sawgrass fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Shelby Kirkland charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Shelby Kirkland the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th match minute, Sawgrass was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shelby Kirkland to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abe Bellamy was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Sawgrass getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Heriberto Alston hit a great ball. Abe Bellamy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marshall Stoner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Quinton Sewell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Quinton Sewell successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 66thth minute of the game Heriberto Alston who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alden's Quinton Sewell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marshall Stoner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quinton Sewell made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Marshall Stoner sent off a good shot on target. Heriberto Alston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marshall Stoner in the 87th minute of play forced Alden's goalkeeper Quinton Sewell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Duane Carbajal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abe Bellamy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, Alden's goal looked a bit too open when Marshall Stoner came free, but Quinton Sewell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Alden's zone, Heriberto Alston stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Quinton Sewell came out of the goal and Heriberto Alston tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Alden could leave the field as winners, despite Sawgrass having more of the ball for most of the match.
