Spectators: 7266 (Terracing: 5250, Seating: 1856, VIP seats: 160) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Bernardo Miranda made the kick off which started today's match. When Strong Survive's Saul Owens in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MARBLE SYSTEMS's goalie prevented a goal. 4 minutes had been played when some careless play by MARBLE SYSTEMS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Saul Owens was slow to take the kick. During this time Strong Survive's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vidar Alegren in the 6th minute of play forced MARBLE SYSTEMS's goalkeeper Bob Shipley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bob Shipley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vidar Alegren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute, Saul Owens ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bob Shipley was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 11 minutes of play, Strong Survive's Vidar Alegren made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bob Shipley was left in no man's land by his defense there! 15 minutes into the match, Strong Survive's goalkeeper Tolga Tümkurt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardo Miranda. 17 minutes into the match, Saul Owens had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bob Shipley. MARBLE SYSTEMS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Saul Owens was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 21 minutes into the match, Monroe Cervantes notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of MARBLE SYSTEMS's Bob Shipley. Bob Shipley was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Saul Owens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Bob Shipley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Strong Survive's Marwan Nijad got a free kick in the 27th minute. Tyrone Grossman got a throw-in 30 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Geoff Perez. Saul Owens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bob Shipley having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Saul Owens had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bob Shipley. MARBLE SYSTEMS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Saul Owens was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After 42 played minutes Strong Survive got a freekick which was hit by Vidar Alegren. A collision led to Strong Survive getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Marwan Nijad hit a great ball. Strong Survive's Tolga Tümkurt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Strong Survive from getting a goal against them. Tommie Vang hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute Zack Stout shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bob Shipley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute Amadeu Veloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bob Shipley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Strong Survive's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Farley came free, but Tolga Tümkurt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bob Shipley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monroe Cervantes in the 68th minute of play. Amadeu Veloso hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Strong Survive made a substitution. Damien Arias replaced Monroe Cervantes. In the 73rd minute, Amadeu Veloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Strong Survive getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Wilfred Conn hit a great ball. Bernardo Miranda struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Tolga Tümkurt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MARBLE SYSTEMS. When Vidar Alegren came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Strong Survive fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vidar Alegren couldn't finish the play. After 86 minutes, Saul Owens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Strong Survive and the MARBLE SYSTEMS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bernardo Miranda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of MARBLE SYSTEMS booed when Strong Survive was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brad Owen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Strong Survive's Vidar Alegren got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 97 minutes, Chance Piper managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MARBLE SYSTEMS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chance Piper was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Strong Survive's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
