Spectators: 7947 (Terracing: 5961, Seating: 1828, VIP seats: 158) Sawgrass's Marshall Stoner started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Boys of Riverdrive FC's zone, Marshall Stoner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rob Neal came out of the goal and Marshall Stoner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Sawgrass's Manuel Pugh got a free kick in the 9th minute. Marshall Stoner struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Rob Neal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sawgrass. After having played for 16 minutes, Heriberto Alston managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sawgrass's supporters crossed their fingers, but Heriberto Alston was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rob Neal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marshall Stoner in the 22nd minute of the match. Rob Neal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marshall Stoner in the 25th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Marshall Stoner ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rob Neal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Heriberto Alston in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rob Neal saved Boys of Riverdrive FC from getting behind. Val Pool struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Rob Neal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sawgrass. After the first half Sawgrass were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alvin Walsh to strike the kick off in the second half. Rob Neal was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Marshall Stoner capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marshall Stoner really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. After 72 played minutes Boys of Riverdrive FC got a freekick which was hit by Kristopher Nesbitt. In the 76th minute, Marshall Stoner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Sawgrass's zone, Kristopher Nesbitt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duane Carbajal came out of the goal and Kristopher Nesbitt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Cobi Holt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, Boys of Riverdrive FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marshall Stoner came free, but Rob Neal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 91st minute by Marshall Stoner got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Vito Gaines charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vito Gaines the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 93rd match minute, Boys of Riverdrive FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vito Gaines to maneuver through the defense. Rob Neal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marshall Stoner in the 94th minute of play. The Boys of Riverdrive FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sawgrass were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
